The Bahamas' main daily newspaper, Tribune, reports today that a third person was indeed in the room with Anna Nicole Smith when her son, Daniel Smith, died on Sunday.

That person was identified as Anna Nicole Smith's lawyer, Howard K Stern. Stern was described as a family friend, who picked Daniel up from the Lynden Pindling International airport in Nassau on Saturday night and drove him to see his mother in the hospital. Smith had given birth to a baby girl.
Police have not revealed much new information about the death of the celebrity's son, except to confirm earlier reports that there was indeed a third person in the room with Smith when her son passed away, and to indicate that both Ms. Smith and Mr. Stern were free to leave the Bahamas if they so wished.
The remaining tests on the body of Daniel Smith are expected to be completed within the next few days, and Smith's body will be sent to California no later than Saturday, the Tribune indicated.
The International Media has been camping out at Doctor's Hospital, trying to get a glimpse of Smith or her attorney for the past several days. A statement put out by representatives for Smith have asked for privacy so that the celebrity stripper can grieve for her son in private.
